Premium output axle seal for Tesla 3DU (Third Drive Unit), part number 1108557-00-A. Precision-engineered HNBR elastomer seal (40x67mm) designed to withstand high-speed rotation, thermal cycling, and electric drive fluid exposure. CRITICAL: This seal is specific to the 3DU gearbox. While common on Model 3/Y, Model S/X fitment is limited to specific 3DU-equipped vehicles only. DO NOT BUY based on model year alone; verify via VIN or drive unit casting number.

⚠️ Installation & Safety Warning: Replacing the output seal requires draining drive unit fluid and removing the half-shaft. CRITICAL:

Special Tools Required: Use Tesla Adjustable Seal Puller (1454928-00-A) for removal and Seal Installer (1131206-00-A) for installation. NEVER pry with a screwdriver, as scoring the aluminum housing will cause permanent leaks.
Lubrication: Apply a thin film (<1g) of Molykote M-77 to the half-shaft spline and seal lip before installation. DO NOT pack grease inside the seal or on the inner spline, as this can damage the seal lip or interfere with the snap-ring.
Flush Fit: Ensure the new seal is flush with the drive unit housing. Use a non-marring hammer or installation tool to seat it evenly.
Fluid Refill: Refill with exact spec Tesla Drive Unit Fluid and check level via the correct procedure. Overfilling causes leaks.
