Premium replacement Active Hood Actuator for Tesla Model 3 (Highland) and Model Y (Juniper), part number 1735702-00-A. This pyrotechnic/hydraulic piston is the core component of the Pedestrian Protection System, automatically raising the rear of the hood by ~80mm upon impact to reduce head trauma. CRITICAL: This is a ONE-TIME-USE SAFETY PART. NEVER attempt to reset. MANDATORY inspection of hood hinges and latch after deployment. NOT compatible with Pre-Refresh Model 3 or Pre-Juniper Model Y. Verify via VIN.

  1. SRS Protocol: Disconnect 12V battery and wait 5 minutes before handling. NEVER probe connectors with test leads.
  2. One-Time-Use: If deployed, this actuator MUST be replaced. NEVER reuse.
  3. Mandatory Inspection: You MUST inspect Hood Hinges, Hood Latch, and Pressure Sensing Tube for deformation or damage. Bent hinges = Hood Replacement Required.
  4. System Reset: Installation requires Tesla Diagnostic Tool to clear SRS codes and reset the Pedestrian Protection module. Do not drive until system is verified green.
  5. Vision Check: If the hood is raised and blocks forward vision, DO NOT DRIVE. Tow the vehicle.
